Phoenix Medical Training Center was founded by Andrea Johnston and Andrew Johnston, both seasoned paramedics with over 20 years of combined experience in Arizona’s healthcare system and postsecondary education and administration.
They are passionate about helping individuals begin or advance their careers in healthcare through accessible, affordable, and high-quality education.
Andrew Johnston
Education Director | Co-Founder, Phoenix Medical Training Center
Andrew Johnston brings over 15 years of experience in EMS education and healthcare school administration to his role as Education Director at Phoenix Medical Training Center. A seasoned paramedic and dedicated instructor, Andrew has spent his career developing and leading high-quality training programs in Arizona.
His expertise spans a wide range of disciplines, including EMT, Paramedic, CNA, Assisted Living Caregiver, Phlebotomy, and continuing education courses for healthcare professionals. Andrew has successfully overseen the development and operation of multiple private postsecondary training programs, ensuring that students not only meet state and national standards but are truly prepared for real-world challenges in the field.
Driven by a passion for education and a deep commitment to community healthcare, Andrew plays a pivotal role in shaping curriculum, mentoring instructors, maintaining exemplary regulatory compliance and creating an engaging learning environment where students thrive.

Andrea Johnston is a dedicated educator and healthcare professional with over 10 years of teaching experience, specializing in Advanced Life Support classes, pediatrics and hands-on clinical training. As the Campus Director of Phoenix Medical Training Center, Andrea is passionate about creating a supportive, student-centered environment that fosters both personal and professional growth.
In addition to her instructional expertise, Andrea brings a strong background in education administration, including admissions, and student services. She plays a key role in shaping the student experience—from enrollment to graduation—ensuring every learner has the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to succeed.
With a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of Arizona’s healthcare landscape, Andrea is proud to help prepare the next generation of compassionate, skilled healthcare professionals.
