Caregiver Program Prerequisites – What You Need to Enroll

Before beginning your path to becoming a certified caregiver, you’ll need to meet the following enrollment requirements:

✔️ Age Requirement
You must be 18 years or older by the start of the program.

✔️ Photo Identification
A valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport) is required for enrollment.

Affordable Caregiver Training – One Low Price, No Extra Fees

Registration Fee: $100 (due at sign-up)
Tuition: $500 (due by the first day of class)
Total Program Cost: $600 

Your supplies, textbook, and equipment are all included in the tuition cost. 

We also offer flexible payment plans through Klarna and Afterpay, so you can start training now and pay over time.

Additional costs: 

• State Certification Exam Fee: $65 (paid directly to the testing provider)

• Food Handlers Card: Approximately $14 (can be easily completed online)

The Food Handlers Card is a requirement for state certification, and the good news is, it’s a quick and easy process to complete online. We’ll provide more details during your training on how to get this done.

📘 Textbook Included with Tuition

Our Assisted Living Caregiver Program uses the industry-respected Hartman’s Providing Home Care: A Textbook for Home Health Aides (6th Edition)—a trusted resource across caregiver training programs nationwide.

Your textbook is included in the $600 tuition, so there’s no need to purchase anything separately. You'll receive your book on the first day of class, and it’s yours to keep for continued reference as you begin your caregiving career.

📝 State Certification Exam

After successfully completing our Assisted Living Caregiver Program, you'll be eligible to take the Arizona State Caregiver Certification Exam, administered by D&S Diversified Technologies. The exam fee is $65, paid directly to the testing provider. ​ 

Our curriculum is designed to fully prepare you for the state exam, with hands-on training, expert instruction, and the use of Hartman’s industry-standard textbook.

Once you’ve passed your final exam with us, we’ll provide guidance on how to register for the state test and what to expect on exam day.
